Music Lessons
For some, music comes naturally and joyfully, while for others it is more difficult; however, no matter what your initial talent for musical instruments is, you can learn! Learning to play an instrument is a beautiful skill that takes a lot of dedication, and will definitely have a positive impact on your life.
There is an increasingly large body of evidence that documents the incredible effects that learning an instrument as a child has on brain development! Musical training helps develop areas of the brain that deal with language and reasoning, increases memory, and improves coordination. In fact, students with a musical education consistently perform higher on the SAT than students without.
The discipline it takes to learn to play an instrument like the violin or viola also provides a type of training to students, whether child or adult. Learning to have a daily routine of practice and hearing the progress you make teaches patience and self-awareness, as well as exercising your creativity!
PANDEMIC QUESTIONS?
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I am providing two options for lessons. If you wish to have in-person lessons, everybody is required to wear a mask at all times. I am also offering virtual lessons via Google Meet.
